The 4th of July is one of our favorite holidays ... Here's our list of "can't miss" events in our area!

The Warm-Up!

Brazos Valley Bombers Fireworks Extravaganza: 
June 30 – gates open at 6:00 pm with fireworks after the game!

Elizabeth Lutheran Church July 3rd Celebration: Yes, you read that right. Only the locals know about the Elizabeth Lutheran Church July 3rd Celebration.  Located in Caldwell, Texas, this event has been running for over 20 years!  The festivities begin at 6 pm! Click here for all of the details!

Celebrate All Day Long!

2018 Baylor Scott & White Firecracker 5K: Get a head start on those celebratory calories by running this All-American themed 5K. Part of the of the BCS Marathon Series, this fun race begins at 8:00 am at the Brazos Running Company post-race goodies include watermelon and apple pie!   Click here for all of the details! 

Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration is hosted by the Brazos Heritage Society and held at Heritage Park in Bryan from 9:30 am to noon.  This free event includes music, treats, and my personal favorite, the children's parade!

Community Wide July 4th Celebration: 10 am – 4 pm at Christ’s Way Baptist Church. Food, drinks, and games!

Independence Daze and Fourth of July Parade: Hosted by the City of Navasota, this parade begins 10:00 am at Prosperity Bank and ends at the Navasota Center. Free hot dogs and snow cones! Click here for all of the details! 

All-American Plates Fundraiser: Sponsored by the VFW Post 4692 at the Fox Hole Lounge.  Starting at 11 am, plates of hamburgers, hot dogs, apple pie, and more will be available! Don't miss the cake wheel and the turkey shoot! Click here for all of the details! 

Adamson's Lagoon, College Station: Celebrate from 12 pm to 6 pm at the pool with fun games held every hour!  

The Stella Hotel - July 4th Party on The Back Yard:  Pool Party and BBQ! The pool party with DJ from Noon- 6:30 pm. Food available for purchase. Two interactive bounce houses and a face painter on The Back Yard.  In the evening, enjoy a live performance by Jordan Nix Band and all you can eat BBQ from 7-9: 30 pm, followed by a patriotic fireworks show at 9:30 pm.  Click here for all of the details! 

Symbols of Liberty Patriotic Concert: Hosted by First Baptist Church in Bryan, this event begins at 5:30 pm and features a family-friendly concert of patriotic music. Immediately following is the Junk Food Jamboree so you can grab a bite to eat before heading off to watch your favorite fireworks show!  Click here for all of the details! 



The Grand Finale(s)!

George Bush Library and Museum:  Free admission all day on July 4th! And the real fun starts at 5:30 pm with concessions and kids' activities. The Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra presents their Patriotic Orchestra at 8:45 pm, and the fireworks begin at 9 pm!  Click here for all of the details! 

Kurten Fireworks Show and Fundraiser:  This event runs from 5 pm to 10 pm on July 4th and includes lots of food and fun! Great raffle items - and it all goes to raise money for the Brazos County District 2 Volunteer Fire Department.  Click here for all of the details!

City of Somerville Fireworks Show:  Show begins at 9 pm at Welch Park!

Franklin ISD Fireworks Show: Show begins at 9 pm at the Franklin Ranch Football/Soccer Fields.

Permanently Retired:  For those who enjoyed the fireworks at Washington-On-The-Brazos in the past, this event has been permanently retired.

And Just A Friendly Reminder - 

Please be considerate with your personal fireworks. Pets, combat veterans, and children with autism can have a very difficult time with unexpected loud noises, such as fireworks.
